MDRT’s charitable arm supports local and global charities.

From rebuilding homes through Habitat for Humanity to feeding the poor in Hong Kong, MDRT members are volunteering to help others through the MDRT Foundation. When they’re not actively serving those in need, members are sponsoring grants for their favorite charity and making contributions to the Foundation.

The MDRT Foundation is a grant-making charitable organization, with all grants endorsed by MDRT members. To date, more than $32 million in grants has been awarded to charities serving children and adults with a diverse range of causes such as youth leadership, medical research, community and economic development, and programs for the elderly and people with disabilities.

As an MDRT member, you’re now eligible to apply for a grant for a charity you are passionate about.

For those who don’t have a favorite charity, donating to the Foundation lets your dollar go to work where it’s needed most. When you support the Foundation, your donations are leveraged to support many different causes. In recent years, well-known organizations such as Make-A-Wish, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, charity: water and the Salvation Army, as well as thousands of other community organizations, have received funding.

The Foundation’s global grant programs rely on donations from MDRT members and industry partners. The MDRT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and members in the United States can take advantage of tax benefits for donations, as allowed by law. There are many ways to give, such as a one-time donation, recurring online donation, pledged gift paid over time, or by donating a life insurance policy.

You can also volunteer for a community service project or the Phonathon fundraising event. These are meaningful ways to build connections and friendships with other like-minded MDRT members, while giving back to people in need.

Aside from the tax benefits and publicity that supporting a charitable cause can provide, the biggest benefit is the feeling you get from giving. You can be part of the solution to help strengthen families and communities throughout the United States and worldwide.
